Literally warm welcome as you step in from the cold. The former storage building has a photo exhibition about the devastating floods oof the river Severn in the past in the more recent years. Free facilities and a shop selling locally produced cast iron items and painted tiles. Easy parking.

Only just opened since some restoration work.. They were still working on it when we went, but will be going back to see what they've done with it.
It's free, so it won't cost you anything to take a peek.

We visited to learn more about the Gorge and industrial history but we were a little disappointed as the building was practically empty. There were very few displays, just a shop and some images of various maps of Shropshire, not even specifically about the gorge. It was quite surprising.
It’s title of Museum of the Gorge is misleading. It felt like an event space with a few random bits and pieces in it.

A brilliant experience. We didn’t allow enough time so it’s definitely a return trip!

Very interesting, not a lot of exhibits mainly just information boards and photos. Won't take you long to visit but worth it to find out info about Ironbridge.

Not much to see in museum because of regular flooding they don't have many exhibits on show.
